Job Description:

•Translate, record and distribute Incoming/ Outgoing customer data for Program Management and Estimating.
• Translate design CAD generated data to production CAM machining data.
• Translate engineering change design CAD data to production CAM machining data.
• Adhere to applicable quality systems and Support the total Tycos Management System (MAFACT, WCM, ISO-9001)
• Adhere to and promote the Magna Employee Charter; work within the rules, regulations and guidelines of the Tycos Employee Handbook and follow all Tycos instructions, policies and procedures
• Create assembly files for:
           o Production components to be machined in core fit position. 
           o Engineering change components to be machined in core fit position. 
           o Incoming/ outgoing data for outsourcing quotations.
• Utilize the non-conformance process to provide accurate, detailed documentation of all issues, non-conformances or constraints that cause rework or tool delay and understand why this has occurred.
• Must be prepared and willing to support the implementation of new technologies and techniques.
• Must be prepared and willing to work on various shifts with minimum supervision.
• Participate in and support Continuous Improvement and WCM initiatives
• Maintain work area in accordance with the principles of 5S and operate daily within these standards; Ensure work area is kept neat and organized
• Perform other duties as required including supporting the shop floor Machining and Programming to your current Level
• Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abide by all health, safety and environmental rules and regulations, promote safety in the workplace
• Report all accidents/incidents and unsafe conditions/behavior; Participate in accident/incident investigation process

Qualifications:

Education:
• Minimum completion of Grade 12 diploma an asset or equivalent experience.
• College diploma / degree in a technical field / trade, or equivalent experience an asset.

Experience:
• Experience in working with CAD and CAM 3D data
• Experience in Programming machining cutterpaths from 3D CAM data
• Experience in Machining of Components from CAM generated programs

Skills:
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook is required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required
• Ability to demonstrate effective problem solving an asset
• Must possess and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills
• Well-developed organizational and time management skills
• Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the theory and practical application of machining and machining related procedures an asset
• A working knowledge of shop floor CAM system
• A working knowledge of design CAD system

Competencies:
• Must demonstrate a strong attention to detail, employing a quality first attitude
• Cooperative and flexible worker, able to employ a service and team oriented approach
• Must demonstrate the focus and ability to multitask.
• Demonstrate excellent initiative and proactivity
